“The project was born from a clear intention: to restore the depth and structure of attars within a contemporary framework, without dilution.”

Ersin Bas, co-founder of the house.

Inspired by Ottoman culture and the contemporary energy of Istanbul, Attar al Has creates solid and profound fragrances, carried by the mastery of traditional savoir-faire.

By returning to the origin of this technique, Attar al Has develops powerful and generous fragrances, whose quality and longevity define luxury. Its co-founders, Ersin Bas and Sinan Karakas, defend a long-lasting, cosmopolitan and refined vision of perfume.

In the beginning, there is attar, an ancient artisanal technique used to create concentrated perfumes, as close as possible to the raw material.

Since 2019, Attar al Has has been bringing this traditional oil distillation process back into the present, rooted in Ottoman culture, and sharing it with perfume lovers who value the excellence of craftsmanship, the work of time and the intelligence of materials.

“Attar” evokes oil concentration and olfactory strength ; “Al Has” embodies the intimacy of the house, created for collectors in search of signatures and finesse.

From the sculptural bottle, heavy and precise, to the calligraphy engraved like a seal, every detail expresses the density of a rare material, designed to last. Far from trends, Attar al Has cultivates a solid presence, faithful to the spirit of attar.

WHEN THE ORIENT COMES TOGETHER

“In Istanbul, differences cannot be reduced to a single story. They remain layered: Byzantine, Ottoman, contemporary ; ceremonial and everyday ; European and Middle Eastern. This multiplicity is not softened — it is preserved.”

Sinan Karakas, co-founder of the house.

Nicknamed the “city of a thousand and one facets,” Istanbul embodies a world in motion, where eras overlap and identities coexist.

Nişantaşı and its luxury avenues, Kadıköy and its market, Cihangir and its coffee shops, Hagia Sophia and its incense, the Bosphorus and its salty mist… Each fragrance explores the borders of a realm of which Istanbul remains the center, a crossroads and melting pot of all identities.

While globalized cities often adopt the same codes and polished experiences, the house’s fragrances assert their singularity.

Beyond oud, amber and Turkish rose, essential elements of the collection, the 21 fragrances of Attar al Has embrace direct evocations: the radiance of gold, addictive vanilla, the wisdom of emerald, the secret of spices. This clarity opens the doors to an olfactory empire, where Istanbul’s heritage connects generations and imaginations.
